Design for Films - Title Design + Motion Design Systems

Wedding.con

Wedding.con is a true crime documentary series about five women who seek to fulfill a universal dream - Marriage. However, in their search for the perfect life-partner, they end up getting exploited financially and emotionally by conmen with fake identities, posing as suitable grooms on popular online platforms.

Design for documentaries is a delicate balance between artistic expression and effective communication. In Wedding.con the narrative plays out across digital and real worlds and our job was to help make those connections seamless

Main Titles

Wedding.con highlights the hybrid lives we lead across our virtual platforms and the real world.

Finding the visual language for such a new phenomenon meant we had to deconstruct the worlds and reassemble them in a unique, custom designed way

A Case Study : Design for Film

To achieve a seamless integration of recreations, actual photos, and news footage, we created a cohesive visual language through a Motion Design System with a predefined Style Guide for every element, ensuring an immersive visual journey.

Adjusting document animation, introducing subtle light flares, and highlighting specific keywords visually revealed the murder mystery, maintaining the painstaking effort invested in piecing the story together.

Information was designed to be subtly impactful. Astons, timelines, and maps play pivotal roles in conveying key information in the film.

Wedding.con was released on 29th December 2024 and rose up to the No.1 show in India on Netflix.
