Cricket Diaries

Switch Studio partnered with Sol Productions to create mini shorts about iconic cricket matches that changed sporting history forever.

The show unfolds through conversations between an everyday cricket enthusiast and the legendary figures pivotal to those iconic matches. In the company of cricket maestros, the behind-the-scenes narratives come to life, weaving tales of camaraderie, passion, pressure, enjoyment, triumph, and a hint of mischief.

Given the constraint of not using actual match images or footage, the need for an innovative visual language arose to encapsulate the essence of these legendary stories. This challenge sparked creativity, leading to a distinctive approach.

This unconventional approach literally cracked open the Cricket Diaries, presenting them through sketchy drawings and note-taking. This visual language served as a unique means to convey the significance and relevance of each discussed match. The titles and opening sequence garnered high praise from viewers, the production house, and the client alike, all accomplished within a record timeframe, making the creative process as enjoyable as the final product.
